When Pontiac debuted the original Firebird Trans Am in 1969, they created another legend to add to their list of hallowed 1960s performance cars. The Trans Am remained the flagship of the Firebird line throughout the model’s run, and the 1994 version got something special in the form of the 25th Anniversary edition.
While some may grumble that this limited-edition model (circa 2,000 built) represented nothing more than cynical GM marketers’ paint, stripes and fancy leather seats, it had the standard TA goods to back up the wild look, including a 275hp, 5.7-liter V-8, Z-rated 16-inch tires and four-wheel discs.
