What do you get when you blend over 160 of the finest collector cars in the U.S. and Canada with one of the most scenic state parks in New York, mixed with an absolutely perfect early fall Sunday afternoon? In our case, we got the eighth-annual Hemmings Motor News Concours d’Elegance, held on the grounds of the Saratoga Springs State Park in conjunction with the Saratoga Automobile Museum, presenting sponsor Gullwing Motor Cars and sponsors Chubb Insurance, Volante Classics and Rogo Fasteners.

There was something for everyone in this year’s show, ranging from pre-World War I fire trucks through AACA Full Classics, muscle cars, and European sports cars. Former Ford Group Vice President of Design J Mays was on hand to speak at the Saturday night banquet, and to hand out an award for his own pick for Best Design. It went to a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S, which was reportedly raced at Le Mans in-period and continues to be vintage raced today. It wasn’t trailered to the show, either; instead, its owner drove it down on Sunday morning.

Now is the time to start making plans to attend next year’s Hemmings Motor New Concours d’Elegance. We’ll feature (much) more of the cars displayed in the coming days, but if you were unable to make this year’s show, below is a sampling of what you may have missed.
