Scenes from the Hemmings Saturday Cruise-In Spectacular

Go to any concours d’elegance event, our own included, and you’re guaranteed to see stunning cars in a spectacular setting. These vehicles typically represent the finest remaining examples of a particular year, make and model, but to many hobbyists they’re constructed of pure unobtainium. That’s the reason why the Hemmings Motor News Concours d’Elegance weekend includes a Cruise-In Spectacular on Saturday, as it gives readers with not-quite-concours-ready cars a venue to show off their collector cars.

The field in this year’s Cruise-In was nearly as diverse as the field in the concours itself, and the quality of the entries did not disappoint. Among the most impressive cars on the field was a 1966 Chrysler Newport, restored to an impressive standard by a pair of 16-year old twin brothers. An unrestored 1937 Studebaker President was a big hit with attendees, as was a 1914 Model T Ford brought down by the Owls Head Transportation Museum. As in previous years, the field included an ample selection of muscle and sports cars, too.

If you were unable to make this year’s show, enjoy the gallery from Saturday’s Cruise-In Spectacular below, and remember: It’s never too early to make plans to attend next year’s Hemmings Motor News Concours d’Elegance.
